Work is now complete on the state-of-the-art mental health and learning disabilities centre at Kingsley Green, Radlett – part of the Hertfordshire Partnership Foundation Trust.
The centre, designed as a therapeutic environment for adults experiencing a mental health crisis, features 86 en-suite single bedrooms as well as a courtyard gardens for active recreation and quiet reflection, a shop, café and innovative treatment and therapy areas.
The building, which reflects international best practice, has been designed with the input of service users and carers to provide a supportive and recovery focused environment. It will have lounges and quiet spaces where service users can relax, make themselves snacks and drinks, and meet visitors.
Vistamatic® vision panels were directly specified at the request of the Trust with observation a key factor when it comes to the treatment methods ongoing within the facility.
In conjunction with the main contractor, Osborne, and the door manufacturer, Leaderflush Shapland, 137 Vistamatic Max VisionPanels are in use throughout the new building including in all bedroom doors, treatment areas and consultation rooms.
Mike Trigg, Osborne Project Manager, said
“the Vistamatic® panels will play a vital role within the new building. The staff know and trust the product and rely heavily on them when it comes to performing their day-to-day care duties. The panels are renowned for their reliability and were therefore the obvious choice when it came to selecting which panels to use at Kingsley Green.”
